Five week old Gideon was found all alone in the pouring rain, but now he’s here at Kitten School foster home learning to trust, love and have FUN! A shy cat or kitten will want to run and hide under furniture so we introduce Gideon to the ‘Social Box’, a small portable crate where he can spend a few minutes during the day observing his new surroundings. This exposure will help Gideon quickly acclimate to people and other pets while keeping him safe, feeling secure, and unable to bolt under the bed (where we would have to crawl under and pull him out – not fun for either of us!). Gideon is introduced to the six other foster kittens here at Kitten School, and after a few days is allowed to interact with them while wearing a tiny harness and leash. It doesn’t take Gideon long to realize that no one is going to hurt him, and soon he’s off playing with the kittens and allowing us to pick him up for cuddle time.
